December 16, 2020

Brooklyn, NY—December 16, 2020—Manual Labor, a marketing and creative consultancy and studio, today announced it received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). As an independent, female and minority-owned marketing and creative company, Manual Labor is in a great position to help organizations improve their ability to communicate with their most important stakeholders by what you see and what you say.

Samantha Choi, founder, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Manual Labor, said, “This is an important milestone not only for our business, but because it's a symbol to other women and young girls that they too can own their own business. I watched my parents do it and I’ve taken their entrepreneurial spirit to build something more with the opportunities they provided my sisters and me.”

WBENC’s national standard of certification implemented by the New York regional partner organization is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs.
